Traveling

January 10th -- I am not unpacked yet. Still have boxes stacked high in my new apartment.  -- but I was invited to go on a cruise with 12 of my family members.  How could I pass this opportunity.

We cruised on the Carnival Magic from Galveston to Jamaica, Cozumel and Grand Cayman.   It was a great trip -- 7 days of relaxing and being pampered.

Sunrise after a stormy night
A night of rough weather on our way into Galveston.  And I mean ROUGH!! We Rocked and Rolled all night.  Not much sleep...  We prayed and of course all my late night Facebook friends were praying for us also.  God is Good!  In the midst of the storm -- we were safe and sound.  None of us got sick.

We got back to Galveston Sunday at 3:40 pm.  Drove home and finally back in my Box filled apartment about 10:00 pm.  Nobody unpacked any of my boxes while I was gone.  :)

On Monday morning I left with two friends from Tremont Retirement Center for Arkansas.  We had a RCI Condo reservation in Bella Vista Arkansas.  Another restful week in a really nice condo.

This was an Art Week!!  Creativity was flowing freely as we kicked back and enjoyed the cozy fireplace.

Tribute to Pendell

Pendell
Pendell  was one of the first people I met when I stayed at the Tremont Retirement Center.  I attended his writing class and also his computer class.  I went back after my short stay and attended several of his classes.

He did a lot of computer things for the staff at Tremont. Adding new members to the directory was only one.

"He was the kindest man" -- you would hear this if you talked to anyone who knew him.

Congestive heart failure sent him to the hospital and while there he had a stroke.   He spoke with some of his friends on the phone before the major stroke..  Pendell was ready to for his eternal life.

He was always helping someone.   I didn't get to attend his memorial service on Jan. 14th as I was out of town.  Lots of people spoke at this service.  He was greatly honored.

He will be missed.

Immortal Nicholas by Glenn Beck

I read this book while in Cabo just before Christmas. I heard Glenn talk about how he wrote it for his children to help them focus on the meaning of Christmas instead of Santa Claus.

Update --  I read this book again this week.  It is the such a good book.

This is an amazing story about redemption and forgiveness. I highly recommend it!!  It is not so much a Christmas book, but one for Life.

This man walked with and watched over Jesus all His Life -- but the sadness of his own loss kept him from accepting forgiveness and redemption. His story is a good one and you will be blessed.

Ruth used Zentangle for her Lion

March 2016 --  They were watching Les Miserables today.  I tried to find images about this movie, but they were all too "DARK" --
so I just chose a few images from France.
