Stress is a tool of the enemy! We will overcome!!

Pink Dogwoods on a rainy morning. Northern Arkansas.
Good Sunday Morning,
It has already been a pretty exciting weekend!

Thursday about 10 am I started to have a terrible pain in my left shoulder.. I was driving to Dallas to pick up a book and of course, I didn't let a little pain stop me.. By noon the pain had escalated and I was Still thinking it was my Rotator Cuff? My friend and I were eating lunch and I was trying not to be too wimpy.. I didn't want to upset my friend.

We left the restaurant and headed toward Fort Worth.. We were on George Bush Freeway. I couldn't think of a hospital close to that area. Even after calling my daughter we could not think of a hospital. She told me to get off the freeway and call 911. What a great idea.
Funny how we don't think about those things without someone reminding us.
God's word tells us that we need the Body of Christ.. Of course, we do!

Long story short... 911 sent an emergency crew and they took great care of me. The hospital checked me out for any heart problem along with many other things. On Friday morning after a serious stress test -- the doctor came in to tell us that everything was Normal. I was still having the pain in my shoulder and chest, but it was not as severe as it had been Yesterday.
The doctor said that this pain was caused by stress.

What a eye opening experience! I had no idea stress could manifest in such a painful way.
It was a WAKE UP CALL.

I am so grateful for the abundant prayers that were lifted up for me.. My body of Christ is huge and they are a faithful family..

I came home with some pain in my shoulder, however, by Saturday afternoon the pain was gone.
I have a new plan for keeping my stress under control. More quiet time with the father, more time with the people I love, shorter hours of work and more time for pohtography travel. Thank you for your prayers that God will help me keep these priorities in line.

Is this the perfect campsite.  Dogwoods in bloom -- Peaceful and serene. Perfect place for quiet times.  This is on my list of get away places.

Good morning!!

Discouragement is the wedge that keeps us from the abundant life. I pray that you walk in power today. Speak it out... Tell the enemy to flee. Wield your sword. Speak the WORD to him. He knows the truth -- if he can keep us discouraged and keep our focus off the truth, off of the promises, off the Love of the Father -- then he holds the power. I can tell you, I don't want to give the enemy any of My Power. Just typing this gets me fired up.

What a sweet job!!

Travel Agent for Pets -- has it's bright spots.
I was blessed to assist a family moving to Reno, Nevada.  They had numerous cats, dogs and a mother-in-law that needed extra care.    When they found me they were stressing over all the arrangements.

I took two of their cats as excess baggage on an AA flight to Reno and they made arrangements for me to stay in the downtown area for a few days.  Great vacation!!!  Luxury Hotel and beautiful view.

Several friends, encouraged me to rent a car and take a drive to Lake Tahoe.  I thank every one of you for that encouragement.  What a total blessing!!!  Even tho I had to drive alone -- God and I had a GREAT DAY!!!  What amazing beauty!!

"No Parking Avalanche Area"
1 Chronicles 16: 34 Praise the Lord because He is good to us, and His Love never fails.

This was the most awesome drive, up and over the Mt. Rose pass.  This picture is very near the 8900 feet elevation summit.  (Sierra Nevada Mountains)
This Texas girl hasn't often seen this much snow -- and never an "Avalanche Warning."

I held my breath through this Avalanche area and then just over the summit --  the first overwhelming view of Lake Tahoe.  All I could do was cry. What an amazing site -- He loves me so much!!
"First glimpse of Lake Tahoe at 8900 feet"

The view just got better and better -- I stopped so many times, the 24 mile drive took me most of the day.

AND BETTER!!!

Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

Hang out with me and the Lord....

I am going to try this Blog thing... It may be too much?? Hang in there with me. We'll see what God reveals. Or more likely, what I am able to discern as He Speaks. Matthew 10:7-8 7"And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' 8"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
