| Pink Dogwoods on a rainy morning. Northern Arkansas. |
It has already been a pretty exciting weekend!
Thursday about 10 am I started to have a terrible pain in my left shoulder.. I was driving to Dallas to pick up a book and of course, I didn't let a little pain stop me.. By noon the pain had escalated and I was Still thinking it was my Rotator Cuff? My friend and I were eating lunch and I was trying not to be too wimpy.. I didn't want to upset my friend.
We left the restaurant and headed toward Fort Worth.. We were on George Bush Freeway. I couldn't think of a hospital close to that area. Even after calling my daughter we could not think of a hospital. She told me to get off the freeway and call 911. What a great idea.
Funny how we don't think about those things without someone reminding us.
God's word tells us that we need the Body of Christ.. Of course, we do!
Long story short... 911 sent an emergency crew and they took great care of me. The hospital checked me out for any heart problem along with many other things. On Friday morning after a serious stress test -- the doctor came in to tell us that everything was Normal. I was still having the pain in my shoulder and chest, but it was not as severe as it had been Yesterday.
The doctor said that this pain was caused by stress.
What a eye opening experience! I had no idea stress could manifest in such a painful way.
It was a WAKE UP CALL.
I am so grateful for the abundant prayers that were lifted up for me.. My body of Christ is huge and they are a faithful family..
I came home with some pain in my shoulder, however, by Saturday afternoon the pain was gone.
I have a new plan for keeping my stress under control. More quiet time with the father, more time with the people I love, shorter hours of work and more time for pohtography travel. Thank you for your prayers that God will help me keep these priorities in line.
Is this the perfect campsite. Dogwoods in bloom -- Peaceful and serene. Perfect place for quiet times. This is on my list of get away places.
